The Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway

The Chicago Tribune reported earlier this week that I-88, the East-West tollway, is now the Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway.  It was fun listening to Joe Collins’ traffic reports on WBBM-AM yesterday as he struggled to decide what to call the roadway now.

Does anyone else think it’s laugh-out-loud funny that the first time one of the Chicago tollways is named for anyone, it is named for the man who institutionalized trickle-down economics?

I’ll bet this leads to some interesting shorthand names.
