My roommate and I just signed a new lease. Actually, we are transferring from our current apartment to one on the same floor with less rent and a new kitchen. Where we live now, the oven is not working, thanks to a former tenant who spilled acid in there. Also, the faucet leaks all over the counter and the only way to fix it is to replace it.
It would seem that it is simpler to plan a move alone, but I admit it is cheaper to have a roommate help with expenses. I can arrange for a friend to deliver a dresser for free, something I have talked about for ages but never had room for it. Luckily, she still has it in the buildings she manages.
