Sunday and Monday are the new Friday and Saturday
I run this little online magazine which is so stuffy, dry and boring that I had to start a club night to offset it. It’s called The Modernist Society, and it takes place on the second Sunday of each month at Darkroom. Guess what!? That’s THIS SUNDAY! Our theme for the month is St. Tropez Vice. What does that mean? What does that mean to you? Do you picture cocaine being snorted off of bronzed flesh? Do you picture two guys in white and turquoise outfits, with little berrets, named Croqette & Le Tubb?
Regardless, dress your sluttiest and come out. My new DJ partner John Dugan and I will be spinning lotsa 60s French pop, downtempo, disco, boogie, & new wave against a backdrop of sleezy French & Italian movies.
But wait. How could I forget to mention Daryle Maciocha, aka “D-Mac”? Daryle is flying in from DC to appear as a special guest DJ at both the Modernist Society and John Dugan’s Direction on Monday night over at Sonoteque.
You don’t work, right?
