Dog Haters

I was walking my dog down the block. He stopped to sniff a bush, and I looked up to see a lady standing in the door of her garden apartment about ten feet away. I smiled and nodded politely, and looked back down at my dog.

She said: “Get him away from there. I plant stuff.”

Let’s recap:

  • He was on the sidewalk.
  • There was a rail between him and the bush.
  • He was just sniffing.

Naturally, I pulled my dog away from there as fast as I could. When I passed the same house from the other side of the street, I noticed her pouring disinfectant where he was standing. Are you kidding me? Yes, he kills plants, but not by smelling them.

The only condolence I get is writing about this here. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go disinfect all the places my dog lays in my apartment.

I feel sorry for that lady. Imagine how many dogs do their business on her plants every year. If I came over and peed on your plants you’d be disgusted, yet it’s OK if a dog does it? Yes, I know your Dog was just sniffing, but he WAS out for a walk. I assume he went to the bathroom SOMEWHERE along the line. There should be special parks for dog owners so your mutts don’t mess up our yard. And it should be a felony offense to keep a barking dog outside at night. Dog owners are the rudest group of people I know. You subject us all to YOUR pet and then get mad when we aren’t thrilled with your bundle of yapping, crapping fur. Wish I lived next door to that lady….

you have to be kidding me. i pick his crap up off the ground every day and you have the nerve to call me rude? yes of course he was out for a walk. there should be special parks for dogs, but the fact is there AREN’T. what else would you have dog owners do? be happy they stay on the sidewalks, AS MY ORIGINAL POST MADE CLEAR. i take special care every day that he does NOT mess up yards, and you should be THANKING me for that. your argument that it’s ok for a dog but not for humans is way too similar to a MAD TV sketch done a few years back, and that shows just how silly that argument is. i feel sorry for you.

I feel bad for someone that has to lump all dog owners into one, ignorant category. Overall, we’re really a cheerful and responsible lot.

And you can call the cops on an owner whose dog is barking all night long. Haven’t you ever seen the People’s Court?

Wow, that was the most ridiculous argument I have ever heard.

Dog Hater – teach my dog to use the toilet, and I will be pleased as punch. Until that point in time, she is going to have to piss. And yes, she pisses in the grass. So do lots of animals.

You know, we should have special parks for birds. And rabbits. And squirrels. We should just orchestrate it so that all animals know of their designated “rest areas” and only piss and shit there. Man, imagine all that lush green grass.

People who hate dogs scare me. They have no soul.

I wish dogs were next on the list of soon to be extinct animals. They’re always barking for no reason like a bunch of fuckin’ idiots. Unlike cats who are smart enough to find places and cover their shit, dogs leave theirs out in the open. They look so damn retarded with their tongues hanging out and drooling all over the place. They’re so fuckin’ needy too, MY GOD. What’s worse are the people who actually dress them up in clothing. STOP!!…it’s not adorable or cute. It’s ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and get a cat next time.

P.S: Die Dogs Die! P.S again: my brother accidently hit a dog with his truck. The dog most likely died. :D :D :D :D woo hoo

Ok, Lauren does not have a point, yet dog hater did cite factual observable canine behaviour. The argument is legit. You forgot to mention unlike cats, dogs have caused human deaths many many times; in every city Ive lived in since I was five I have read stories of dogs killing kids. Dogs are also smelly, and make a lot of noise, and people who keep dogs do so more to annoy their neighbors than anything else. Recently in Oregon I beleive someone left poisoned sausage for dogs to eat in a park. Eight dogs who werent leashed have died so far. They had it comming!

dogs have caused human deaths? jeez, how many HUMANS cause human deaths? i’m not going to look up the numbers but i bet many times more than dogs. people keep dogs because they like them as companions, not to annoy other people. that’s about the most asinine statement i’ve heard in a while.

dogs are living creatures. to say any living creature has a death by poisoning or any other means coming to them is a heartless, distasteful, and almost inhuman thing to say.

and actually, lauren’s point is much more valid than any the two previous posters had, and her point still stands.
