Flu shot shortage = STAY AT HOME
Because I am so insanely lucky, I come down with the flu right in the midst of hearing about the flu shot shortage. I don’t usually get a flu shot because I bruise so easily from needles and very rarely get the flu. But after being sick for the last 3 days, I promise you that you will want to pay for the nasal spray flu vaccine.
Instead of the regular shipment of 55,000 vaccines, Chicago will only be receiving 7,500. And unless you enjoy feeling like there is a samurai sword doing roundoffs in your stomach, not being able to stand up without feeling like you are going to pass out, and a fever so bad you can’t tell if you are hot or cold from one second to the next, I suggest you find an altenate way to get your flu shot this year. The flu itself doesn’t last that long, but is so mind-numbingly painful it feels like a week of flu crammed into one day.
Better yet, if you start to feel the life being sucked out of you, do us all a favor and STAY HOME.
yeah, thanks for staying home. :) we finished the muffin photoshoot without you and divvied up all the baked goods, so there’s none left for you. sorry! :D feel better tho.
