This summer CTA buses got pretty chatty — the CTA added cycling messages between the stop announcements — “Please exit at the rear of the bus” and “Quiet passengers are good passengers” and so on.

This morning the 66 bus warned me that “Chicago transit is in danger of losing funding! This bus might stop right now if we don’t get more money!” and recommended that we go to the improbably long url www.keepchicagolandmoving.com (I’m impressed with myself that I remembered it. keepchicagogoing.com? maintainchicagotransit.com?)

So I’m passing along the panic. Save Transit Now! Keep me on the bus!
