A few months back, Chicago band the Detholz! played at the Hideout to a packed crowd. I missed it because I arrived too late, but this was one show I’d have really liked to see.

Jeff Tweedy, of Wilco, did get in that night and must have liked what he heard. He was so impressed that the Detholz! are opening for seven Wilco shows in February.

• Fri. 2/26 @ State Theatre, KALAMAZOO, MI – sold out

This is a huge break for the Detholz!, and I hope the best for them. I’ll be heading down to Foellinger Auditorium in Urbana to see them this Tuesday, but it looks like Charlotte’s your only hope if you want to go and haven’t bought tickets by now. Good luck with that.

By the way, does anyone know someone who can take care of my dog while I’m gone?
