The land of chocolate…..mmmmm…. chocolate

When you think chocolate buffet, do you think heaven? Do you think “I would step in front of a bus just to die and get a little piece of that chocolate action”? I do, sometimes. But it’s cool, we no longer need to sell our soul for some yummy goodness. I found this review today of The Peninsula’s Chocolate at The Pen, A CHOCOLATE BUFFET.

Which immediately made me think of the Simpson’s episode Burns Verkaufen Der Kraftwerk, where Homer daydreams to the land of chocolate. In Chicago, I think this is as close as it gets. I am going to go check it out soon. If you have already been, give me pointers on what to save room for.

you know — and this is totally off-topic — one of the things i miss the most from working downtown is those certain days, when the scent of the Blommer’s chocolate factory would waft ever so slightly southeast, and all of the northwest loop would smell like chocolate. those were the *best* days at work.

which is nothing to do with the chocolate buffet, which is okay because right now i’m pretty sure they wouldn’t let me in. but, OMG, do any words strike more fear (and desire) into my heart than CHOCOLATE BUFFET? now i’m fixated on who i can get to go with me …
