Once the Second City, always the Second City.
According to a report released by the Texas Transportation Institute, Chicago has the second worst road congestion in the nation with the average commuter, according to Tribune reporter John Hilkevitch’s calculations, spending a week and a half stuck in traffic each year.
That’s it? It seems so much longer.
For the record Los Angeles beat us and New York didn’t even make it into the top five. This only serves as further proof that if I ever move the East Coast wins out easily over the West as a destination.
I still love Chicago the mostest though. Even with its craptacular commuting times.
