Forget free Frostys, it’s all about falafel

For the past couple of months I have been meaning to post about Taste of Lebanon on Foster and Clark. I go there quite frequently to pick up lunch, am always pleased as punch, and always return to my desk thinking “Everyone should go to Taste of Lebanon. I should post about it right now”. Without fail, 30 bajillion things will happen just as I think this statement, and it will fall through the cracks.

But not today. Today, I remembered.

You should go eat at Taste of Lebanon. I have a really picky falafel palette, and they make it just right. I always order the falafel / hummus wrap (a steal at $3.19); the falafel is moist and mealy, and the hummus adds just enough bite. Besides, where else can you get totally full over lunch for $3?

The storefront in very unassuming, so keep your eyes peeled or you might go right by. There is also a great little bakery across the street that sells delicious goodies. Sarah (our resident illustratrix) just picked up some sublime dried strawberries today that make Fruit Roll Ups taste like reconstituted dirt.

Do they have schwarma and if so have you tried it? I’m always looking for a good schwarma in the city- my main fix is all the way up in Skokie at the Pita Inn!

Fruit roll-ups ARE reconstituted dirt, aren’t they?
