Conversations with emissions guy:

“Your car failed”
“Huh? Why!?”
“One of your computer sensors if fouled.”
“So there’s nothing wrong with my emissions?”
“No. It’s just the computer.”
“But there’s nothing wrong with my emissions?”
“Correct.”
“And even though there’s nothing wrong with my emissions, and my car is compliant, you can’t pass it for complying with the emissions levels?”
“Correct.”
::fast forward to the conversation with Pep Boys guy::
“And so that’s all going to come out to $454.”

….Just to fix some fouled sensors in my car’s computer…my car that’s emissions compliant, so that it will pass the emissions inspection, so that I won’t lose my driver’s license.
