Reviews of Random Venues in Less Than Ten Words

Have some snap judgements. They may not necessarily apply to you. Feel free to disagree, but remember I don’t give two figs.

Empty Bottle: within walking distance.

Vertigo: used to not suck.

Ten56: gone but not forgotten.

Innjoy: better damn well live up to ten56’s rep.

Phyllis’ Musical Inn: The Little Bar That Could.

Subterranean: expensive beer, overzealous bouncers, can’t spell their own name.

Double Door: expensive beer, good sound.

Big Horse: can’t mix a gin and tonic. I’m serious.

Bottom Lounge: on the red line.

Ice Factory: not a venue.

Spot 6: get your act together.

Metro: impossible parking and snobby staff

Pontiac: too many hipsters, and what’s with the cardboard wall?

Cal’s: no food open near it after 10pm.

Update:
Gunther Murphy’s: what? Free music on Saturday now? Gunthersaywhat?

Beat Kitchen: soon with better bands. And food? What a concept.

Oh yeah, add any missed places in the comments. Live music venues, not bars! That’d just be… overwhelming.

The Mutiny: personal half-pitchers of Bud make bands sound better.
