“We’ve Come for the Bloggers…”

Enthralled by the oddness that is metroblogging.

I decided to skip the Ted Leo & the Pharmacists show last night in favor of meeting more of my fellow bloggers at the Map Room. You really should try that – tons of fun.

Sarah with ann oddly off-season Halloween cupcakeSometimes, there’s cake. Although, the cupcakes were decorated with Halloween colors, which made some of us wonder exactly when they were bought.Sarah wanted me to believe they were actually Shavu’ot cupcakes, which made me wonder if Jewish holidays really had colors, and really, black and orange with sprinkles? Hm…
Nikkos gives the Map Room a thumbs upNikkos approved of whatever occasion we were celebrating, especially when there’s beer involved. This reminds me to mention my taste experience, by the way. I had two beers while I was there: one should really be called a wine cooler, and the other tasted like dishwater. Sometimes a huge selection can be a bad thing. Am I just picking the wrong beers? At least now I’ve found out I don’t like wheat beers, so perhaps I can make more educated decisions from now on. You know, drink responsibly.
FuzzyFuzzy smiled and nodded politely as I explained the art of Zen Blogging.

“The perfect blog has nothing to do with writing. Try turning off your screen and then posting. Only then will you understand.”

“Comment spam only exists if you look at it.”

You have to turn the screw the other way...Alana explained her secret desire to blog about nothing but cats. Or was that rats? Oh wait, Chicagoist scooped us on that one too. Speaking of them, where was the representation from the other major blog networks? Come on – free cupcakes!
