What about elves?

Over the weekend Gov. Blagojevich signed bills that would help the man keep better track of sex offenders. Of these bills is a law that prevents sex offenders from:

Handing out candy on Halloween
Dressing up as Santa Claus during the Christmas season
Wearing an Easter Bunny costume around Easter

Now, I know that this law has good intentions, but wouldn’t it be rather easy to sidestep this? Couldn’t Joe Sex Offender dress up as a Christmas elf? A Hanukkah dradle? What about Santa for Halloween? Jesus on Easter?

And, my god, what about clowns? That should be covered for sure.

The Man has no idea how to deal with sex offenders–adult or juvenile. I guess I can speak with some authority on this matter, as I kinda am a representative of The Man….but don’t hold that against me.
