Yummies on Devon

Fellow MB contributor Sarah and I headed up to Devon on our lunch break today, and happened upon two very yummy establishments.

First we stopped off at the Georgian Bakery and got some hachapuris which were absolutely tasty. They are fluffy dough filled with mozarella, feta, and farmer’s cheese. It is a weirdly comforting taste, waffling between a quesadilla and a bagel with cream cheese. Yum.

Next, we walked down a couple of blocks to Ambala. Sarah was looking for some top-secret tasty desserts to send to her brother for his birthday, but don’t think you are limited to sweet goodies here. We picked up some ground chicken wrapped in philo (didn’t catch the name) that was amazing. They were given to us with a tangy sauce that is a cross between barbeque and sweet & sour. Again, strangley familiar, but not at the same time.
