Find Your Civic Footprint

The Center for Neighborhood Technology, which is hq’d on North Avenue in Chicago, has made it sinchy for you to find a snapshot of your “personal political geography” with their Civic Footprint site. Their motto: Find out where you stand and who stands for you.

    That’s a SPECTACULAR resource. I work in nonprofit, and it’s damned hard to discern county commissioner districts and state rep districts serving a particular address. (I work from time to time with CNT, so of course they never told me about it).

    It is good. I especially appreciate that they put police precinct and beat number. That stuff seems like a special hassle to track down. Ward number, too.
