   First of all Sonny Fortune is fantastic. And teaming up with Ron Perillo and his trio can only lead to an explosive night of jazz(Ron plays regularily up at Pete Miller’s in Evanston). I think the music will be a combination of Sonny and Ron’s originals with a sprinkling of jazz standards. And though I’ve never tried the Maggianos’s/Jazz Showcase special, I’ve heard nothing but good things from friends. Go and see it if you can!
