Reefer Madness, Doggy-Style

As a follow-up to the post below about pit bulls, I stumbled across this article in the Trib which offers more info on the owner of the pit bulls who was also busted for weed possession.

From the article entitled “Pit Bulls to Be Tested for Marijuana”:

“Toxicology tests are being done on the bodies of three pit bulls shot after they mauled two children and four adults to determine if the dogs ingested marijuana found inside their owner’s home, authorities said Tuesday.”

“If the dogs ate marijuana, police want to know if it may have contributed to their vicious behavior.”

Maybe the dogs were drinking “liquid crack.”

There’s more…read the whole thing.

When I worked in the Englewood neighborhood, I had a few clients explain how they “trained” fighting dogs. Those groups I ran were, quite possibly, the most disturbing groups I have ever run.

However, they never mentioned weed; my clients were typically pretty open about weed.

I agree- I saw a documentary on fighting dogs and it is truly one of the most despicable things humans engage in- and that’s saying something. The doc filmakers visited a West Side school and asked a classroom full of, oh, 8 or 9 year olds “who has seen a dog fight?” and nearly every hand in the room went up. Fucked up.

Okay, has *marijuana* ever made anyone *more* violent?!

Maybe the theory is that the owners feed the dogs weed, which gave them a serious case of the munchies so they decided to eat people…

Ha ha! That’s the only plausible explanation I’ve heard yet. Either that or the police don’t know what the fuck they’re doing, and that couldn’t be the case, right?

Scientists have just finished the analysis of the tests, and have confirmed the ingested marijuana caused a tremendous craving for Flamin’ Hot
