Below is an e-mail sent out by Alderman Vi Daley on how to help fill up some trucks leaving for the Gulf Coast. Please help pack them with much needed goods if you’re able. Tis the season.

“Dear Friends,

This past September, Lincoln Park residents provided much needed supplies to people whose lives were forever changed by Hurricane Katrina. Our trucks were the first ones to reach several towns in Mississippi. The recipients were overwhelmed by your generosity. I still cannot find the words to express my appreciation for your kindness. Many of their immediate needs were filled.
