Food Poisoning

How was your New Years? Mine was terrible, thanks for asking. A pretty horrendous 12 hour barf-fest of food poisoning. Since I’ve lived in Chicago I’ve gotten food poisoning about every year and a half — usually timed with some major event (Chicago Improv Fest, an already-stressful move, and now New Years and our friends’ wedding). (Thank god for ORT.)

Before I moved here — not so much. And I ate out plenty in Indiana. No big thoughts here, I’ve got to go try to keep down some more BRAT food.

I am not a doctor (only BS In Biology, CNA certificate, MLIS with a few health publications), but vomiting can be caused by many things. I had a bought of vomiting on Tuesday and it was probably related to allergic reaction to dust. Reflux or hiatal hernias can also cause vomiting.

There can even be brain conditions where vomiting occurs like a tumor. Again, I am not a doctor.

THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE MEDICAL ADVICE.

one place to look besides a doctor is

    sorry if I bothered you.

I had some vomiting related to stress as well, caffeine overuse, and possibly dust build up as well or allergic reaction to something.

Caffeine overuse, medication reactions or alcohol use can also cause vomiting. Many things cause vomiting.
