Stern vs. Rover

radio.jpg

So, I’m curious….how many Chicagoans opted for Sirius Stern over Free FM’s Rover this morning on the way to work? I was still in my car 15 minutes after getting to work just to hear Stern’s 1st show. After giving Rover a chance this past week (only because Stern wasn’t available), I really wasn’t too impressed. Especially annoying were the constant reminders that you were listening to “Rover’s Morning Glory”. Every segment they had used that intro. We get it. Very tiring.

Thank god for Howard.

I listened to neither one of them. I have no interest in listening to anyone named Rover, and I may also be cutting my ties to Stern. The satellite thing is not happening for me right now. It’s all about listening over the internet.

The satellite thing is definitely keeping some listeners away. Curious as to what you’re listening to online…

it’s not that i’m listening to anything in particular online, it’s just that if i can’t get Stern online i don’t think i’ll be able to listen enough (at home or in the car) to warrant buying satellite. how would you listen to it if you were at work?

The etire line-up at WCKG, minus Steve Dahl…prety much sucks. I am absolutely disappointed that I can’t just turn on that station and be content. Its not that the new shows aren’t as good, they are flat out bad!!
