File Under: You Can’t Make This Shit Up

“Dentist indicted in bizarre sex ring”

The Sun-Times reports:
“A well-liked Chicago family dentist let pimps rent out his Marina Towers condos so hookers could turn tricks there and stayed after hours at his downtown dental office to fix the teeth of battered prostitutes for free, the feds charged Wednesday.”

In looking for a satirical photo to accompany this post, of course my thoughts instantly went to Steve Martin’s portrayal of a sadomasochistic dentist in “Little Shop of Horrors.” But, to my surprise, Martin has starred in not one but two films about fucked-up dentists. The photo above is from the 2001 film “Novocaine.”

Steve Martin, anti-dentite, meet Dr. Gary Kimmel (alleged) Pimp Dentist.

You know, I could get behind this guy for his donated time and free care for the hookers. But then catering to the pimps, too? Yuck!

I’m just glad it wasn’t my dentist, who just gave me some oral surgery Tuesday night. Gum lacerations and pimp juice just do not mix in my book.

So my kid goes into his dentist about a year ago, and the dental “bib” they stick on him has “Finding Nemo” stuff printed all over it.

And, i’m like, um, wasn’t that dentist really, really frightening in that movie and he, like, hurt his patients a lot?”

and, the dentist is like, “hunh? well, did you see little shop of horrors?”

And, I’m like, but my son hasn’t. Nemo’s he’s seen. What’s up with the bib?

And, he shrugs and says, “I can’t keep up with them all.”

So while he’s cleaning my kid’s teeth, all I can think about is what kind of psycho dental supply company printed these things . . .
