Tankboy insists I warn you of “spoilers,” but hey, this isn’t Chicagoist. I respect the intelligence of my readers.
Overall, it was better than last week’s episode, but I’m still not really into it this season.
I did catch something odd in Slate.com, however: John McCain made a cameo on last night’s episode? (How did I miss that?) Sen. McCain is certainly all over the news today, isn’t he?
“Extraterrestrial good looks?” What does that even mean?
Back to the episode:
Didya catch that little smirk on Edgar’s face when Chloe was all pissed off at Spencer? I was completely joking a few weeks ago when I wrote:
“Will Edgar completely lose it, finally launching into a spittle-soaked tirade about being the token ugly CTU agent, and that, by rights, he should be the one forced to take one for the team and sleep with Chloe?”
But it’s looking more and more like I was on the mark.
Also, it looks like we’re one episode closer to the jiggle-tastic return of Kim Bauer.
Also note that the very effective use of wiretaps in this episode need to be signed -off by the FISA court within the next 72 hours. Of course, in the world of “24” warrants aren’t needed; the only thing the A.G. signs off on are deals with terrorists. And he can sign-off in “a few minutes.”
Was anyone surprised when Inessa, the battered girl being held captive by Rossler, shoots his ass?
Anyways, sound off- what did you think of last night’s episode?
Crap.
Total crap. Snooze fest. They’ve run out of tricks. “Blah blah blah, I want a deal”, “blah blah blah, we need to reinstate _____ because he’s the best person to do this”, “blah blah blah important person gets killed… WHAT WILL WE DO NOW!?”
I’m losing faith at a rapid pace.
Whatever Nikkos.
P.S. You got it wrong again. This ep was the worst of the season.
Also, you know the 24 Playstation game is coming out in a few weeks, right?
Arrrgh, a video game? I suppose it was only a matter of time.
What’s with the aargh!? I’m totally excited. It covers the time between season 2 & 3. Could be neat.

Full disclosure: I’m not a gamer. When I see a franchise beginning to extend its brand into other categories- video games in this instance- I start to think that the end is nigh. What next? Jack Bauer Cereal? (“A balanced breakfast doesn’t have to be torture!”) If you get the game, post some screenshots- I’d be curious to see how it looks.
