Outside from being married to the most excellent senator ever, she is also super-involved in her own life – she’s a graduate of Princeton and Harvard, vice president for community and external affairs at the University of Chicago Hospitals, and mother of 2.

Oprah also makes an appearance on the list, natch. It wouldn’t be a list of inspiring women without her.
