A Promise is a Promise

Dear Chicago:

About six months ago, I said that “I will buy a beer for anyone who has stuck with a resolution for six months.” That day is fast approaching.

I have not saved nearly enough money to buy everyone a beer; furthermore, there is no way to ensure that everyone has maintained a resolution for six months*. At the same time, I’d be remiss if I didn’t even try. Therefore, I am going to do my best to provide beer for the most deserving and dedicated.

This is going to take place June 3; the only problem is I’m not sure where to hold it. So, here’s my solution. The bar with the most comments is where we’ll meet up. The cut off for the comments will be May 31. Sound good?

*Lord knows I have not lived to ANY of my resolutions.

Personally, I’m partial to the following places: Inner Town Pub and the Abbey Pub.

I haven’t had a drink since August 2004. Granted my “resolution” stemmed from thinking about becoming pregnant, becoming pregnant, and nursing, but it should still count for something. I’d like me an extra large diet coke, with a twist of fresh lime! How’s that for ya’?
