I went again today at lunch. Really the first time I visited since it was actually finished, and I have to say to you Millennium Park, you’re pretty decent. The video fountain stuff, which I originally thought was lame (probably because I went to art school and am really arrogant and dismissive about art, plus I hate everything), was really impressing me today. I still don’t know if you had asked me six years ago: “Hey man, I have $475 million here, and I was thinking about making a park out of it…I’m thinking maybe 2 square blocks seems like a good size. What do you think?” Um, no. But here we are, and for that much, you do get a decent park.
