That’s how much the State of Illinois is having to pay to reimburse the video game industry for their legal fees from the fight against the “video game violence law”. The one that everyone knew was patently unconstitutional from the start. And that’s why I’ve been railing on this, not because I loooove playing violent games (I do, but I’m an adult and it’s beside the point) — if our state leaders want to do some “we’re for the kids” posturing and grand-standing, there are ways they could do it without costing the state a half a million dollars.
