Grab A Kid

Grab a kid, any kid. The Chicago International Children’s Film Festival kicks off this weekend and runs through October 29th. Generally the films are broken down by age groups and are either a single film or a group of 5 to 15 minute shorts.

This year the main Chicago venue remains Facts on Fullerton. The other three locations are the Beverly Arts Center on 111th, Dusable Museum, and Wilmette Theatre in Wilmette. This pretty much narrows my choices to the shows at Facets, and I’ll make sure to purchase my passes before hand through Ticket Web.

I kid you not, but I’ve had more fun at these movies than most Hollywood type movies. So if you have kids of your own, get online now and pick out a show or two. If you are childless, go borrow one, or just go by yourself. In addition to the movies there are various workshops and a chance for everyone to vote for the “Best of Fest”.
