Halloween Weekend

By choice, I will not be dressing up for any parties this weekend. I know there is a lot going on surrounding the holiday, but I’ll get my fix at the Roscoe Village Halloween Parade and by doing some candy gathering on Tuesday evening. I bet me and my three kids get about ten pounds total this year. We know what houses are giving up the goods, and which ones to skip.

I dig seeing all of the kids in my ‘hood dressed up and my friends’ kids as well. I don’t really get the whole adult dress up thing. Am I just being a party pooper? Does anyone else feel the same way?

Trust me, it makes a lot more sense when you’re single.

Yes I agree. I was, and it didn’t make that much sense then either.

What, Bill, you’re not dressing like your favorite Futurehead?

When drinking is involved, things don’t have to make sense.

[insert *completely benign* historical comment about monastic beers]
