Alpana scores … some new Gap duds?
I was shopping for several hours on Saturday afternoon, looking for a new winter coat–a little late in the game, I know, but hey.
Anyway, I went back to the Gap to return something but it was too packed to even think about it. As I turned to get ready to go, I saw a woman that was (or looked a hell of a lot like) Alpana Singh of Check Please! fame. I wanted to say hello, and also that I thought her book was full of really helpful information, although a little too “You go, girlfriend!” for my taste. Then I decided that I was a) too unsure if it was actually her, and b) too cranky from all the slow-moving crowds to say howdy. Next time.
Anyone else have any famous [or not-so-famous] celeb sitings in Chicago? They’re not too frequent, but cool just the same.
A friend of mine met Jim Thome in the airport recently. They took a picture together and Jim was very sweet.
I haven’t read her book yet, but could they have picked a less flattering photo for the cover?
I saw some of the folks from Metroblogging at some Lincoln Park chocolate shop not too long ago. They were all huddled in a corner sipping out of brown paper bags. Pretty cool!
Bill: I saw ’em, too. SO HAWT!!!! Although it looks like that Nikkos has had some work done–can anyone say FACELIFT?!?!?!
Dave!: I agree. She’s beautiful, and I don’t think the pic does her justice
I’m surprised I haven’t seen any celebs just hangin around town. Last time I saw one was a while ago, when I was an extra in Primal Fear. Richard Gere really is gorgeous.
Facelift or not, nikkos has never looked hotter. Or is that “hawter?”
definitely “hawter”, nikkos. get with it.
i could`ve sworn that i saw Amy Adams from `junebug` and the u.s. `office` at the local option a couple of months ago. I heard she went to school here, but i didn`t approach her. Thought it would be too creepy.
I’m afraid that wasn’t Alpana you saw last weekend–unless that Gap was in New York. I met her at the book signing she and her husband had at Barnes and Noble.
