Sketchcrawl

Although we didn’t bother to include it, Chicago’s architecture is truly a gift to the world. Anytime I’m walking around on my lunch break when it’s warm out, I can usually spot a few people with sketchpads transposing the city skyline onto paper.

This weekend, get together with some fellow sketchers in the first Chicago Sketchcrawl. The starting point will be the Auditorium Theater, which has granted access to the box office and first floor lobbies, main auditorium theater, and the inglenooks in the dress circle lobby from 9:30AM-10:15AM. Other sketching locations will be decided on the spot, so be sure to get there early so that you can get in on the sketching action. If you’re looking for more information or want to suggest a place to sketch, hit up the Chicago Sketchcrawl forums.

By the way, I hear the organizer, Shannon, is really nice. And she happens to be my fiancee. Tell her I sent you.
