Gunman was upset over toliet patent

The gunman who shot four people at a West Loop lawfirm on Friday was upset (which seems a weak choice of word, I realize) was a West Side truck driver who thought he had been cheated out a patent for a toliet for trucks, police are saying.

But two years ago, the man who’d labored his whole life driving a truck and a cab figured out a way to make them all rich. Except his attorneys were trying to steal the idea, he told his family.

“He went to them, he trusted them,” his niece Brenda Jackson said Saturday. “He said this is gonna pay off big.”

Armed with a snub-nosed revolver and fueled by years of simmering anger and maddening disappointment, Jackson began shooting Friday at the group of West Loop attorneys he believed had stolen his dream invention — a special port-a-potty for truckers.

Its amazing how insensitive and selfish are the persons, especially Larry Stark who seem to have no feelings for the families who lost a loved one in the loop shooting. There is no justification for someone to go on a rampage like this. The people who defend Joe Jackson need to wake up and realize that this man was a crazed lunatik, a cold blooded killer. How do you stand up for a murderer? Wasant OJ enough?
