Pitchfork Festival News

I meant to write about this yesterday, but as things go, I didn’t. With the big Lollapalooza ticket news today, this one might even be better news for all of us music fans.

Over in Greg Kot’s blog, he writes about this summer’s Pitchfork Music Festival and touches on the lineup that will include Of Montreal, Jamie Lidell, Cat Power, Clipse, Girl Talk, Iron and Wine, Grizzly Bear and others. The now 3-day festival is quite a bit more affordable than Lollapalooza too. I say if you can, just go to both. That’s six days of music, drinking, dancing, etc. and what could be better than that? Tickets are on sale Monday March 12th.

So far it looks like a decent lineup, with the Clipse, even! And it’s Jamie Lidell, not Lindell. I bugged out when I heard “A Little Bit More” in that Target commercial.

Corrected, thanks! I look forward to the announcement of the rest of the acts, but I doubt I’ll be disappointed.
