Sikh American Veteran Beaten by Cop in Joliet
You know what, go ahead and be a bigot — just please don’t be an ignorant bigot. Sikhs are not “fucking Arabs”. And you might not want to tell a Bronze Star-winning Navy veteran to “go back to your fucking country before I kill you.” And all over whether a van should be parked in a garage or driveway — that’s just weak, man.
On Friday March 30, 2007 at around 3:00pm, Mr. Kuldip Singh Nag, a Sikh American who was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in the U.S. Navy during the first Gulf War, was at his home in Joliet, IL when a local police officer noticed that a van parked on Mr. Nag’s private property had expired registration tags. … The Joliet police officer then demanded that Mr. Nag park the van inside his garage and not on the driveway, to which Mr. Nag responded to the officer that it was not possible and that regardless, the van is parked on his private property and he has a right to park it on his driveway. … the officer pulled out his pepper spray and attacked Mr. Nag. As Mr. Nag screamed in agony, the officer removed his baton and violently struck Mr. Nag numerous times until he fell to the ground. While the assault ensued, the officer was reported by both Mr. and Mrs. Nag as saying, “You f****** Arab! You f***** immigrant, go back to you f****** country before I kill you!”
(Now, so far all we have is a report from the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund and a single line from the Herald News reporting that Mr. Nag had been arrested for ” aggravated battery”, so it’s certainly possible that there’s more to the story. But in light of our recent troubles in Chicago, it seems all too possible.)

IT SHOULD BE KNOWN THAT THEOFFICER INVOLVED IN THIS INCIDENT IS NOT AN OLD SCHOOL HARD NOSE. HE IS ONE OF THE GOOD GUYS. IN FACT, YES FACT AND TRUTH, AND NOT THE MEDIA THE OFFICER WAS THE VICTIM IN THIS CASE.
THIS “POOR AMERICAN SIKH VETRAN BLAH BLAH BLAH” WAS INDEED THE AGRESSOR AND PUT HANDS ON THE OFFICER FIRST, AFTER CURSING, THREATENING AND INSULTING THE OFFICER AT LENGHT.
THESE ACTS BY THE WAY FOR THOSE PEOPLE IGNORANT OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS ARE CRIMINAL, AND ATTACKING AN OFFICER IS A FELONY.
THE OFFICER DID HIS JOB AND LOCKED THE CRIMINAL UP. THE SUBJECT RESISTED AND WAS TAKEN TO THE GROUND……IF A MAN CANT LIVE LIKE A CIVILIZED HUMAN IN A CIVILIZED SOCIETY, MAYBE HE SHOULD GO BACK TO WHERE IT IS UNCIVILIZED AND LIVE

Based on Mr. Gavin’s use of vocabulary and phrasing, it is likely that he is either affiliated with law enforcement or is otherwise biased to their side.
Furthermore, it’s common to refer to “the subject” as “suspect(s)” when applicable, and not “criminal(s)”. For example, because they are not yet guily. T. Gavin is just what we need, another armchair law/morality judge that jumps to conclusions.
