Local comedian Pat Brice passes away
One of our best comics passed away suddenly over the weekend. Pat Brice was a founding member of two of our most thriving stand-up institutions, Chicago Underground Comedy and Blerds, and on Saturday he passed in his sleep at an out of town wedding at the age of 29.Check out these postings on our local comedy site The Bastion, and feel free to post any memories you may have of him:Announcement.Memories.Local Yahoo group discussion. My condolences to his friends and family. I did not know him well, but I had the pleasure of seeing him perform many times, and he was insightful, passionate, and a nice guy.
I was telling people about his ‘rent or own’ bit just this weekend. This is a real shame.

Fearless Radio is also playing episodes of Pat’s podcast, the Visitors Locker Room, all day today. listening to pat’s voice here in my empty office today has been calming.

thanks for the post, Dan.
I first met Pat @ U. Dayton. Pat was friends with guys I grew up with in Cleveland and we clicked right away. Pat was in our group of 7 guys that went to Europe for a month. I have some outstanding pictures of Pat from that trip. He will be missed.
