But I still think Amanda's theory about why we're collectively so enthusiastic when it does finally gets warm is valid. Personally, I think my fed-up-with-the-chilliness this year is because I made the mistake of taking trips to Arizona and the Southeast in May. It's *warm* in May in other parts of the country. Dammit -- if I hadn't known there was free candy, I wouldn't be upset I wasn't getting any (to switch up metaphors).
