It’s been 17 years…you ready?

17 years. The cycle of the Cicada. This spring these noisy, red-eyed little bugs will be everywhere. They’ll fly into your house. Your car. Your hair. Your mouth. It’s such a phenomenon, people have even figured out how to work these critters into their diets. Mmmmmmm, Cicada-kabobs.

If you’re not familiar with these bugs - maybe you just moved here or were too young to remember the last time - click to read How Cicadas Work @ science.howstuffworks.com. (They even mention Chicago in the article.)

Do you remember the last time they popped up? Have you ever eaten one?
