Thus the first real weekend of autumn is coming. I now notice leaves everywhere-well, not a whole lot, but enough to do the job. The back-to-school sales are over. Downtown Evanston again is busy, thanks to the Northwestern students returning. I know Whole Foods is going to be doing great business now-not that we did lousy business without them, we did not. Once the Northwerstern students are back, the town just falls into its normal routine. Like all Evanstonians, I love autumn-even if I never go to a Northwestern football game.
