Stop Whining, Chicago

I’m noticing a lot of people complaining about the recent weather and saying things like “winter is here.”

Really? Have you lived in Chicago during a winter? Have you forgotten what sub-zero temperatures REALLY feel like? The high yesterday was fifty-nine degrees, people! Come on! Let’s go outside! Play in the sprinklers! I’m warm. Who’s up for a refreshing iced drink? If this were April, we’d all be rejoicing, going for walks, and remarking how WARM it is. What happened to the City of Big Shoulders?

Winter is NOT here, folks. You have a good two months of decent, not-cold weather left. Stop complaining, and enjoy it while it’s still here. Don’t hole yourself up in your stuffy apartment now, or you’ll be crazy by January.
