The governor FINALLY helps welcome all of Illinois to the modern world by signing a new law protecting gays and lesbians from discrimination.

I am ashamed that it took Illinois so long to move forward a baby step. 15th state to do so? We should have been in the top 5! What took so long? And how the hell could we let Wisconsin beat us to the punch?

It could be worse, you could live in Ohio. We just passed a constitutional amendment that almost guarantees discrimination.
