.. but I am gonna stomp all over his turf by posting about shows this weekend, just because I am super excited (sorry, Tom). Tristeza is playing at The Empty Bottle on Sunday for the low low price of 8 buck. Even if you haven’t heard them, you should go. It will be a good time for all. Really. For example, we do a secret santa in my family every year because I have 50,000,000,000,000,000 cousins and you just can’t buy for all of them. So my cousin Jessi got Brianne, and she asked for a Tristeza album. My uncle Dan struggled to find it, and was finally able to find it on half.com. He gave it a listen to see what all the fuss was about, and concurred with my sister that it was very interesting.
So, if he gets it, you should do.
as the one who introduced this music to Lauren and Brianne (kind of sad considering their from San Diego and Lauren lived there while they were coming out with their best stuff. Honestly, it is the best instrumental “indie” music ever. Soothing and exciting, this is the stuff that babies are made to. For $8 if you don’t go, you’ll miss out on something life changing.
