Time, gentlemen, time…it’s last call for Woolworthy.

Everyone has some good ideas what to do this weekend but I would like to humbly put forward an option that I think trumps the competition.

Woolworthy has been one of those bands that tirelessly put out great records, toured the States and Europe, broke hearts and basically embodied the work ethic that seems to make rock bands from Chicago stand head and shoulders above the competition.

Well, all good thing must end and Woolworthy has decided to pull the plug. Since they

    Yeah, looks like a great show! For those that havenot heard the Ladies and Gentlemen, check ’em out! (Full disclosure: the keyoard player is a long-time musical colleague and friend of mine). Heard live, the L&G sound, to these ears anyways, is sort of a melange of David Byrne, Bowie and The Cars in a rockin’, poppy, shimerry context. Good stuff!

    Sounds good to me. Having played with this band several times over the years, i can attest to jim’s account that they are one of Chicago’s best rock bands and will be sorely missed. See you there.
