Chicago loves Pulaski

I never knew that the whole world didn’t celebrate Pulaski Day. Ever since I was a little kid, I have always had it off. I thought it was like President’s Day and Columbus Day. Just one of those days.

It was until I moved to California my senior year in high school that I learned Pulaski Day was not just a local thing, but strictly a Chicago area thing. Not even the whole state of Illinois celebrates it.

Me: “Dude, why are we at school today? It’s friggin Pulaski Day”
Kid in San Diego: “What-ski day? Are you high?”
Me: “No. Pulaski. You know, helped us out in the Revolution?”
Kid in San Diego: “Yeah, I have no clue what you are talking about. This is why people call you the crazy girl from Chicago”

So, show those punks a thing or two and send them a Pulaski Day e-card.
