I love type, so I’m looking forward to seeing Ascenders/Descenders, a new exhibition at Foundation Gallery (700 N Carpenter) with works by Robin Cameron, Lukas Geronimas, Ben Loiz, and Sighn that are based on typography in some way. The show opened last Friday and runs through April 10.

But what’s with the weensy hours? Sunday 1-5? Is that regular for art galleries? Somehow me + art = museums, coffee shops, books, friends, internet, etc., but not galleries. Maybe because they’re never open. I love crappy cameras, so when I was last in New York I tried to see the Krappy Kamera Show at the Soho Photo Gallery, but was stymied by the intersection of their short hours and my limited time.
