Bring on the m.f. Cristal

It’s official, Yahoo has acquired a stake in Metroblogging. We’ve all been drunk since we heard the news. While debating what to do with our new found fortune, the Chicago Metroblog has decided to buy a huge lofted office in River North and hire Grant Achatz. OK, that part isn’t true. But we are getting some nice new digs for the authors. With Peapod delivery. It is almost the same.

But, for serious, we all thought Google would come knocking first. I guess Yahoo will have to do.

Along with the changes required by Yahoo, we will also be launching 300 new cities nationwide. Locally, you can keep an eye out for Metroblogging Cicero, Metroblogging Schaumburg, and Metroblogging Winnetka.

From what I’ve heard, bloggers are going to get paid $.04 a word, $.08 a word for name dropping Yahoo services. Supplemental income, here I come!
