I must be a big pie
Like Skye in Seattle suggests, you are what you eat in Chicago. So if you want to be classy and ahead of the curve, go check out Food & Wine’s list of “Where To Go Next: Chicago”.
As stated previously, I would marry Avec and have 50 million of its babies in a heartbeat (omg, chorizo stuffed dates!), and there are a few restaurants on the list I have been dying to go to and haven’t made it (Acqualina, Hot Chocolate, Charlie’s on Leavitt).
Prairie Grass Cafe is the famous offshoot of Sarah Stegner and George Bumbaris (formerly of the Ritz Carlton Dining Room) and is supposed to be fairly priced and extremely tasty food. We have been trying to make it out to Northbrook since the chefs left the Ritz Carlton. Unfortunately, they are closed the same day that the Ritz Carlton is closed so Matt can never go.
On a side note, if you are what you eat and you want to be a crazy tech-dog superfreak, then Moto is the place for you.
