Radar Detector to tell you where the speeders is
Speeding in a workzone on the freeway is about to get way more high tech, and way more expensive for violators.
Starting in July, IDOT will be placing radar cameras around workzones that will clock speeders while a radar camera will photograph the driver and license plate. Tickets will then be mailed to the owner of the car ($375 for the first offense, and a whopping $1,000 + 90-day license suspension for the second offense).
You can read the full details of the state’s plan of the IDOT site.
You shouldn’t be speeding through work zones anyway. That is for self-involved pricks. I know you all know better.
