Does your band need more cowbell?
Craigslist has got you covered: classically trained cowbellist available.
Related: I would like to attend this school that specializes in classical cowbell.
(Thanks, CP!)

“Serious replies only”, huh?
I want you to know that I was deeply serious when I posted that ad and I am hurt by your mockery.
I was so not kidding about cowbell classes. It has been my dream since I was wee. I am hurt by your mocking of the mocking. So there.
I learned a little cowbell at my kazoo class, and now that the cowbell has passed the kazoo in poularity, I am quite happy that I put in the extra hours.
Fine. Keep your cowbell. Everyone knows it’s the maraca player who gets all the hot action anyway.
Ok- On a slightly related note, did that guy in Brian Jonestown Massacre *really* only play the tambourine? Is that *really* all he did?
yes, that’s REALLY all he did.
i want his job sans the punches to the head.
Amazing. He should get together with the maraca player from Happy Mondays.
what would they play? that’d be a seriously boring song.
Well, they could round out the trio with “that guy” who struts around on stage and says “aww. yeah. uh. c’mon.” with all the rap bands.
isn’t that ALL OF THEM on stage in a rap band?
There’s always one guy in the band that does only that. His job is to sprinkle little gems of “Awyeah. You tell ’em boy.” while strutting around, posturing with the mic.
He’s the glue that holds the whole thing together.
yeah see, i still say that’s the entire band that does that.
Weird. I was just thinking about Bez – the maraca player/dancer from Happy Mondays – last night, before I saw this thread. And I was reminded of him after seeing yet another band on Friday night with a member whose sole responsibility was to play tambourine and dance. Gee, maybe if I’d applied myself a little more in kindergarten rhythm band, I could be a working musician now.
