Mix Tapes = Love

Remember when you were like 12 and it was so romantic when your crush made you a mix tape of all the crappy songs on the radio? Because listening to them on the radio was not enough, every song on that tape was for you. Just for you.

You can get that feeling again with Chicago Tapes, a project started by Ilana Percher and Aay Preston-Myint. Super awesome mixes are planted in various public spots all over the city for you to find. You can tell where they are from clues on the site, as well as the stenciled sign that accompanies each tape.

Maybe I should whip out my “Super Bitchin Summer Tunes ’93!!!!” for this. Someone would appreciate it.
