Chicago Metblogs Rocks

I can’t say enough about how great Chicago Metblogs is. Honestly, I love it so much, and not just because I’m one of its writers. It’s not just a news blog like some of the other local group blogs. We provide such personalized views of Chicago it almost makes your heart stop.

I learn so much about Chicago just by reading this site. Thanks to Chicago Metblogs, I’ve found such fascinating websites as grubhub.com and been able to spend hours looking up places on google satellite. I now also know where every crime has taken place ever. Thank you Chicago Metblogs!

I spend hours a day on Chicago Metblogs. I can’t get enough navel gazing into my day. I leave five hundred comments telling Tankboy why he’s wrong. Sometimes I read Jennifer’s posts over and over, but mostly because they go way over my head. I’ve stalked Fuzzy. I stare at Sarah’s comics endlessly. When no new posts have been written in a while, I just hit refresh continuously. Really, it doesn’t occur to me that I could post a new one myself.

All that traffic we’ve been getting? Yeah, it’s just me. I go from cafe to cafe and visit this website from each one just so it shows up as a different address in the statistics.

In conclusion, Chicago Metblogs is quite possibly the best literary outlet there is left in this world today. Seriously, you should choose it over the Sun Times any day of the week, including Sunday, when none of us are even writing.

    Tom,

It’s not just you logging on the Chicago Metblogs. I’ve been lurking around for awhile now and am enjoying everyone’s writing and descriptions of the city I love enormously.

So in case it’s not said enough, you are all doing a great job. Glad to have found this great hometown blog.

Wait, you forget even more redundant self-promotion!

You should have included, “and Chicago Metroblog also totally rocks because Tom (as in, myself) is so awesomely smart-ass-tastic that I can barely even get over the awesomeness.”

You are always wrong, I am always right.

Embrace that fact and all thing is life shall come easily.

Oh yeah, I love MetBlogs too!

Speaking of lurking and grubhub in the same post. I’m the owner of the site, and we’ve added a new section to let people add restaurants they know about. It includes a nifty little tool that lets you specify the delivery boundaries of the restaurant.

So, you can not only influence Chicagoan’s minds with your additions, but their dinners as well.
